[L337 Kr3w: Reanimation]

what the hell did I just watch? haha

Although a lot of users around here will be dissing this for the shameless near endless anime and other nerd pop culture jokes, this is very much a prime example of how to get away with a more simple looking art style and be a crowd pleaser movie. Not sure what else to say really, it doesn't break any new grounds in flash it's just a fun and very random movie. Personal favourites were Tim and Josh (the interactive part caught me totally off guard @_@).

This is actually a really good idea, get some wtf voice mails then animate them for instant lawls, kind of a twist on the old prank calls angle. Downvoted this however because the random humping at the end done nothing to add to it, I've seen so many sex and dick jokes on front page submissions by friends of the newgrounds staff they've lost all meaning.

rabbid= win and the movie hasn't even started yet!

Normally sequels fail in flash, but word must have travelled about this one because the quality of the submissions and the jokes themselves have gone way up. The Sonic franchise thanks to SEGA's fuck ups and the more psycho fans themselves have given some dynamite possible joke material, the "there's an American among us!" and "no-one even remebers bean" (oh noes I remember his name! Does that make me no-body? D: ) sketches being two EPIC examples.

I need to stop putting it off and take part in one of these collabs, but for now time to find that tails doll again.

I saw the blog before this was finished, this has some beautiful backgrounds, some of the best I've seen in a flash movie in fact, however you lose points for the animation being a little bit sketchy, but more then anything else choosing one of the most obscure zelda injokes possible. It's one thing giving fanservice but alienating everyone else with obscure jokes is just... meh...

Wow the thing with shadow at the end... thats the best sonic gag I've seen in a long time because it's so true! I seriously laughed my ass off, I want to see less dbz style sonic movies and more people mocking sonic x dammit! It's not like it's a hard thing to do guys x.x

I actually played through this *groans* I only ever played the demo of the first game so I was curious what all the drama was about, not much... it seems the only reason people went crazy was because the first nights was released at the same time as the SEGA Saturns pioneering version of the analog stick control pad (in before playstation lolz)

Not really your best work Roger, the jokes didn't really kick off until nights was kidnapped, you didn't even make reference to the endless awkward moments in this game such as "hey Will duelize with Nights!!!!!!1" quite possibly one the weirdest opening lines of dialogue in a game ever, then again maybe I'm just thinking too dark here x.x

Yeah, most jokes come later, makes it unfortunate that I had to cut it in parts at this early stage already.
Bleh, pc can't handle this type of animation..

As for the Dualize with me gag, it's already done by everyone and I rather not jump on a already crowded joke wagon.

Wow... you really did it and it really got weirder! I always find it hard to review these kind of movies because they're so random. The backgrounds and characters for the most part are well made, but I just didn't like this as much as the original for some reason, I dunno maybe it was trying too hard to be random or something. Also one last thing that's my personal opinion you should have ended it on him saying "AW THEY STOLE ALL MY STUFF!" then after the credits have them use the vortex again that one last time. Good stuff, but beating the original without going overboard was never going to be easy

[History of an Animation]

Poster in the cinema... HOW? x.x

I couldn't see any indication it was photoshopped unless there was never a poster in there to begin with then it would have been much easier to do, do you work in a cinema or something? Because the movie poster at the end was a great final touch. I may have been one of the first to do a flash/video fusion movie, but I limited my scope not thinking I could pull off better ideas compared to other guys here like yourself who just went for it.

There are snobs here who may tear this movie apart due to the drawing style showing inexperience, but I'm only just realizing now myself you only get that experience from having the guts to try in the first place, keep at it and the experience will take care of itself.

To answer your first question: it wasn't really photoshopped. As many people have pointed out, I'm not incredibly experienced in the electronic arts. This is perhaps my fourth year with Flash, and second with Photoshop (I can only do still images - I've never actually attempted using it in a movie, though I did consider it for this one. I made the poster and went to a Kinkos to have it printed. I then went to three theaters to ask permission to hang it up; I got lucky with the third one. Then it was just a matter of synching the first shot of the film with the last shot of the animation. Hope that helped!

Anyways... I truly appreciate your comments. First of all, they were very flattering, and probably much more than I deserved. Second, your understanding and encouragement to keep going for it was very encouraging in the face of the "animation could have been better e-mails."

Pretty funny stuff, there was something very metal gear awesome solid snake about primes voice, but that's probably because it was also done by Egoraptor x.x

lol wut? The Halo theme?

Some pretty impressive frame by frame especially the the timing with the music, it's just a shame the music itself was pretty uninspired, and before I get any insain honking from halo fanboys calling me a faggot or whatever the reason the music is a bad choice is exactly that, it's too well known. It's practically Halos national anthem and something Double Dragon shouldn't need to associate with, to put it into context that's like playing the Chinese national anthem at an Americian football match, it makes no sense x.x
