well I'll be damned... first quake now this

Pretty impressive port, I did notice slowdown but it's been so long since I seriously played this game I didn't know if it was in the original game or caused by other flash files running.

I do know how to get a pad to work on any game but it still would have been nice to have had controller support of some kind, or at least infinate continues to compensate =P How many times you continued shows up in your score anyway, so it's not like people could hide have many times they lost.

definatly a beta

At first glance I was pretty excited by this, the coding is well done for the most part, but once you actually get into the gameplay side of things in the hard modes, that's where the problems start.

1. Attack prioritys: this is one of the first things you should get right i.e. a special move will always beat a regular attack and another golden rule of fighting games that this game breaks... AIs grunt enemies should NOT be able to counterattack you in the middle of a combo even on hardest! Cheap back stabs from another ai yes, but not an attack from the enemy you're already hitting, it removes almost the whole point of trying to do combos.

2. The stamina system, it's a good idea to stop the game becoming an 100% button masher, but why must EVERYTHING except walking require it? you should do something like running drains the bar but you can still use a slow version when you have no stamina and/or stamina regains slowly if you run around too much.

3. INFERNO MODE LASTS WAAY TOO LONG! a challenging game is supposed to kick your ass because you suck, not by turning the game into a grindfest so it bores you to death. Every multiplayer session I've tried to do with it was the same story, everyone leaves out of boredom.

I will say however unlike everyone else I didn't mind moving the character with the mouse, it was the way they slide like they're on ice when they run I didn't like >.>

how I Buy Petrol? Lawl I duno =D

The only joke this was missing was something like my title as an opening line before he devises his 'master plan' or at the end him saying the line pretty much every dumb kid uses when caught... "I DIDN'T MEAN IT!". One of my fave parody movies/games, props to everyone involved in stopping that dumbass.

2 shoop de whoops in a row? That shit ain't right

Apart from some extremely cheap at times AI, this was a great game, funny because of the cameos and made me more envious of castle crashers players D: The only other major flaw I found, is even with the bombs if you get surrounded, with the possible exception of faster characters you WILL get a major beating before you get out of there. Maybe it needs a crowd clearing knock down move that costs a little energy streets of rage/final fight style.

Mausland continues to rock

Your games I've seen are almost always epic, but you need to go easy on the flashing lights, or at the very least put a possible seizure warning, after games like Samba where you almost constantly had flashing lights you should really know better then that by now. My only major complaint is the bosses pearl cross shaped laser attack, how the hell are you supposed to dodge that if you can't follow between the lasers as they do a 360 around the screen?

300 seconds exactly? lol epic

Forget the people who say this needs a highscore board because I think that goes against the philosophy of this game. Games should be fun above all else, not using achievements as a method of simply extending gameplay or creating a kinda player status unless it helps create more fun. I could be critical but I see no reason to be as this played almost like a fun deviation imo rather then a full game, although it has to be said I wouldn't mind seeing an equally imaginative sequel.

Avoiding detailed spoilers but the hardest achievements were the ones that required specific answers, the rest is a cake walk since all you really have to do is everything you can think of in terms of interacting with the level.

final score 794283 pretty good game... =/

I salute your taste in game music sir, this game kind of reminds me of those Wario ware style games and could be just as good as them if you expand on this concept. In my opinion the monkey game needs some slight collision detection tweaking, but the biggest mess up here was the submit scores thing. I understand you need to get mofunzone more website hits, but eliminating one of the main reasons to play it on newgrounds... and not even mentioning it anywhere until they try and submit a score... that's just low beyond words

Nice idea, meh execution

The good:

The concept (although a little more backstory would be nice even as simple as a starting "where am I?" cutscene)

challenging

The bad:

Some of the *avoids spoilers* boss attacks are extremely cheap, but this is mainly because of my next point.

No invincibility frames when being hit! This means you get situations where you get hit multiple time in a row and there's nothing you can do about it. I noticed this doesn't happen while you're in the air however only once you've landed back on a platform. I know you're encouraging the player to aim for a perfect run but this could still do with tweaking, maybe even a feature you could turn on or off.

needs more speed between hard sections

=/ another one huh?

Well I've reviewed the other 2 so I guess I should keep it up and again there's no real major enhancements to speak off.

Sure there's better music, but you've reused old levels, flooded the maps with random enemies so the player either herds them together in one go kills or dies in seconds. The enemies with health bars climbing, glitch half the time and never reach you, once again the only weapons worth using are 2,6 and 7 however there is also 9 (which almost single handedly breaks the game and the point of having any other weapons at all) and 0 if you're feeling lazy.

Last but by no means least... once again... you STILL lose 3 lives from falling in a pit. If this was a new game I'd be more generous but these minor changes you're passing off as 'sequels' are starting to feel more like beta testing you're paying no attention to your feedback for. I would have given this a 5 out of 10 but then I noticed something else, WHY change the sword weapon and helmet enemy to a lol omg it's Halo reference? What purpose does that serve apart from showing you're a halo fanboy? -_-

decent enough idea but wrong target audience

You did an ok job with this, although barely mentioning playstation compared to nintendo and SEGA strikes me as just a little bit biased. I think the biggest problem this movie has is this is about half the questions are English culture related rather then universally known. I have nothing against that, but because this is a mostly American ADHD 13 year old kid dominated site, it's really going to effect the score for this

Former Top 50 newgrounds reviewer. I'm a 'Shadow Artist' ex hardcore gamer English Wiseass. I've done some newbish things in the past, but frankly who hasn't? Unemployed again deciding what to do next to be honest...
